Terms of Use
Updated:
These terms set the rules for using Vocabulum, a free Telegram app for learning Modern Greek. By using the app, you accept them.
About Vocabulum
Vocabulum is made and run by a private individual, called “we” in these terms. It is not affiliated with Telegram or with the organizers of any exam. If you do not agree with these terms, please do not use the app.
Telegram
Vocabulum works only inside Telegram, so Telegram’s own terms also apply when you use it. You need a Telegram account to use the app.
Free app and purchases
All learning sections and exercises are free. Two optional purchases in Telegram Stars are available:
- a donation to support the project, which adds no extra features;
- streak freezes, which keep your streak when you miss a day.
Telegram processes the payment. Streak freezes have no money value and cannot be exchanged or given to someone else. If a purchase went wrong, for example Stars were charged but the freeze did not arrive, write to privacy@vocabulum.app: we will check, and if the error is confirmed, we will refund the Stars.
Acceptable use
When using Vocabulum, you may not:
- download learning materials automatically or in bulk, including with scripts, bots or scrapers;
- try to break or overload the service or get around its protection;
- use someone else’s account;
- use Vocabulum for anything unlawful.
If these rules are broken, we may limit or close access. The protection against mass downloading works automatically.
Learning materials
Word collections, examples, translations, exercises, texts, pictures and audio were prepared for Vocabulum. You may use them for your own study. Copying them in bulk, publishing them or using them in other products requires our permission.
The pictures were generated with artificial intelligence, and the audio is synthesized speech. We check the materials, but mistakes are possible.
No guarantees
Vocabulum helps you learn Greek, but we cannot promise any particular result, including passing an exam. The app is not connected with the Ministry of Education of Cyprus, the Centre for the Greek Language or other exam organizers.
The app is provided as it is. We try to keep it working without errors or interruptions but cannot guarantee that, and features may change or be removed.
Liability
To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for losses caused by using Vocabulum or by being unable to use it. Nothing in these terms limits liability where the law does not allow it to be limited.
If you decide to leave
You can stop using Vocabulum at any time. To delete your account and data, write to privacy@vocabulum.app; the Privacy Policy explains how.
Changes to these terms
We continue to develop Vocabulum: adding vocabulary, exercises and learning materials, and improving existing features. As the app develops, we refine these terms.
When these terms change, we update the date at the top of the page. We will announce significant changes in the app before they take effect; if you keep using Vocabulum after that, the new terms apply.
