# Learn Greek for everyday life

Updated: 2026-10-01

Vocabulum brings words with pictures and audio, grammar practice and regular review to Telegram. All learning sections are free.

Start with the “Base” collection: your first session takes a few minutes.

Find the picture, translation, audio and examples in one word card. You can also check word forms and your answer history.

## From your first word to practice

See what you can do in the app: explore word cards, check your grammar and practice for the Cyprus culture exam.

Match a Greek word and a picture. Translation, listening and spelling exercises alternate, so you recall each word in different ways.

After a mistake, read the explanation and compare the forms in the table. Use this feedback to choose the ending in your next exercise.

Practice reading questions and answer options in Greek, the language of the exam. Open the translation when needed; these practice questions were written for Vocabulum.

## How it works

### Pick your level

Mark the words you already know, and the app suggests collections that fit. If Greek is new to you, start with the “Base” collection.

### Practice in short sessions

A session is 10, 20, 30 or 50 exercises: match a word to a picture, recognize it by ear, build it from letters, put a phrase together.

### Review on a schedule

Your review schedule uses your answers. Words you know well appear less often, while words you get wrong return sooner.

### Watch your progress

Your stats show study days, daily goal progress and words you have learned. The activity calendar helps you track how regularly you practice.

## What you can practice

Start with vocabulary or choose another section: reading, grammar, listening, a phrasebook or Cyprus culture exam practice.

### Words and phrases

5,100+ dictionary entries with audio, examples and pictures. 11 exercise formats and spaced repetition.

## Why Telegram

### Nothing to install

If you already have Telegram, you do not need a separate app. Vocabulum works on Android, iPhone, desktop and Telegram’s web version.

### One account everywhere

Your progress is tied to your Telegram account, so you can start on the phone and continue on the laptop.

### Reminders in your chat

If you like, the bot reminds you at the time you choose and sends a word of the day.

### Answers are not lost

If the connection drops in the middle of a session, your answers are saved and sent when it is back.

## Vocabulum and other ways to learn Greek

Use Vocabulum for practice between classes or tutoring sessions. Review vocabulary, practice noun and verb forms, and listen to short texts in Greek.

Choose collections and grammar topics that match what you are studying. The review schedule helps you return to words after a lesson, and your answer history shows what needs more practice.
